GAIL H. MATTHEWS concentrates in the areas of Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Estate Planning. She began her career in general practice with the law firm of James DiFrancesco and Associates in Pennsylvania and worked at National City Bank of Pennsylvania for ten years where she gained considerable experience with estate planning matters and fiduciary law concepts. Most recently she was an associate with the law firm of Collins, Hannafin, Garamella, Jaber & Tuozzolo, P.C located in Danbury, Connecticut. Ms. Matthews attained certified financial services counselor designation from Northwestern University in Illinois. She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
Throughout her career, Ms. Matthews has lectured frequently in the area of estate planning. She focuses on State and Federal practices affecting wills, estates, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, property interests of spouses, transfers of property, powers of attorney, and living wills, as well as the impact of gift, inheritance, estate, and income taxes.
Ms. Matthews was an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and continues to be a section member of the Probate and Trust Committee. Ms. Matthews currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ability Beyond Disability in Brookfield, Connecticut, is an active member of the Western Connecticut Estate and Tax Planning Council in Danbury, and is an active member in good standing with the Danbury Bar Association. Additionally, she participates as a member of the Estate and Trust section of the Connecticut Bar Association. Ms. Matthews continues to build upon her expertise in the matters of Elder Law, and has recently become a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
